  I have had a long history of some fairly indifferent dental work in addition to a sensitivity to dental work which had often caused gagging and vomiting. This particular dental practice was recommended to me by a friend and I am delighted to report that their recommendation was accurate in every respect and I have received treatment of a very highest calibre. Dr Mark Elvins is the dental surgeon who had treated me. He was extremely patient and went to extraordinary lengths to treat me with consideration for my sensitivities to dental work. He found solutions for my inability to cope with x-ray plates in my mouth and when taking impressions for my new denture. I did not feel uncomfortable at any time. The dental work to repair some of my teeth and put them in good order was carried out with great skill. Buccal anaesthesia was always accurate, painless and sufficient. The standard dental work demonstrated to me that Dr Elvins had developed a very gentle touch; which derives from a lifetime of experience and familiarity with the work. I was reassured by every small treatment step taken and during every treatment visit I received a complete description of the work which would be undertaken before it was started. My consent to the proposed treatment was sought every time. Dr Elvins explained the methods which would be used to provide each treatment. Dr Elvins was ably assisted by Betty, who was always good humoured and ready to relax me with conversation that would provoke a smile. The whole practice is an oasis of calm in what (for me) have been very busy days at work. The practice is notable for its willingness to make appointments at times which suit the patient. The high quality of workmanship and the sheer professionalism displayed at all times by all of the practice staff, with whom I have met, is the reason that this practice is highly recommended by me. I have spent a lifetime looking for adequate dental care and have travelled extensively to find it. I now have that dental treatment available on my doorstep. If you wish to have excellent dental care from a dedicated team; you will be very fortunate if Pear Tree Dental Practice provide your treatment. I am not an easy patient for any dental surgeon. The empathic approach of Dr Elvins means that I can highly recommend this practice to any person who wants the very best in dental care.
